Projects!

I’m still trying to cut down the number of projects I’m working on. However, there are a small handful of projects close to being ready for release. I am trying to get better about focusing on only one or two projects at a time.

In fact, I have a new video on my YouTube channel that talks about my new plan to do just that even as I declare a Write War. This video won’t be live on the channel until Thursday, so you’re seeing it first!

QUARANTINED WITH ANTHOLOGY

A new cover artist has been found for the anthology after the original cover artist had some IRL issues crop up. It is still scheduled for release this year (at this moment), and I’ll let you know the next set of updates I get about it. I have a short story in this collection called “Cowboys and Dragons” that I’m really excited for everyone to read.

DAMNED AND DANGEROUS QUARTET

I celebrated the one-year release anniversary of Damned and Desolate this month. As of 11 June 2021, it’s been out for a year. Originally, I wanted the entire series out by this point, but I think it’s become evident that that’s not going to happen. Still, it’s exciting to think I’ve been published again for a year.

I would like to complete this series, so one of the two projects I’ll be working on in the third quarter of the year, is the the third book in the series, Damned and Deadly. I’m going to try to finish writing the series this year, but I can’t guarantee I’ll release them this year. I don’t want to make promises I don’t think I can keep.

FUR, TEETH, AND CLAWS

I’m still trying to get this project put together. It’s slowly coming together. One of these days I’ll just sit down at my computer, take a whole day, and get it done, but it seems that today is not that day.

QSF Flash Fiction Contest

I submitted a short 300-word flash fiction piece to a contest in March. It’s an LGBT+ story that has a Beauty and the Beast theme. The theme was unintentional, but I won’t lie, I love it.

The contest ran from March 1 to May 1, but I haven’t heard back on where my piece stood among the other contestants. There’s three top prizes and up to 120 entries will be used to create an anthology. Read more about the flash fiction contest rules to see why I’m so excited about this.

A Modernism of magic

If you watch the YouTube video I mentioned, you’ll know this is my main project for the third quarter of 2021. I plan on releasing this with Kindle Vella, a new program for authors that hasn’t been released to the public yet. I can’t find any news about its launch to readers other than “in a couple of months”.

There’s no set release date for A Modernism of Magic, but as soon as I know, I’ll give you more details.
