Previously Published Books by S.D. Hegyes
The following books are all works that were published under the name Skye Hegyes rather than S.D. Hegyes. Most of these are no longer available. However, I hear rumors there are still a handful of physical copies out there, so if you see one, congratulations!
If you’re new to the indie author scene, you should know upfront that things can go a little… let’s call it ‘wonky.’ My publication journey began in 2013 when I previously published the first book of the Shifters & Mages series, Puck’s Choice, under the name Skye Hegyes with a small press called Cedar Loft Publishing. If you’d like to learn more about the beginning of my publication journey, hop on over and read My Publication Journey.

The Longest Night Watch, Volume 2
A year ago, a group of authors got together to pay tribute to Sir Terrence “Terry” Pratchett, a fantasy genre giant and a sufferer from Alzheimer’s. They formed “The Longest Night Watch,” and, not content with one anthology, went on to enter writing team competitions and plot a follow up volume. And they found other like minded authors, bringing them into the Watch. The book that you hold in your hands is the culmination of fun and of reflection, a celebration of speculative fiction and an introspective into the lives and minds of Alzheimer’s patients and their families.
Puck's Choice
Puck Dupree moved in with her sister after spending over a year trapped in the form of a fox. She had hoped to move on with a normal teenage life; however, trouble seems to have followed her. The Council wants her to partner with a mage or forfeit her life, a friend of hers has a stalker who may or may not be trying to destroy her, and a boy at school keeps watching her. If only she could decide if he wants to kiss her or kill her.

A school assignment may be the end of all her secrets though, including her biggest secret of all — her ability to turn into a wolf. With her stress levels rising though a new ability rears it head to make her life much harder. Short Story Smash
What started as a fleeting thought turned into an idea, which turned into a New Year’s Resolution, which turned into a challenge, which turned into a collection of short stories. The only rule: to write one short story for each week in 2010. Short Story Smash is more than a collection of short stories. It’s a fifty-two-week challenge into the creative expanses of one’s mind.

Days of Stars
Poetry. It’s a heart’s song, a love note to the soul. It expresses the deepest sorrow, the most painful hurt, the most exhilarating joy. The poetry you’ll find in this collection displays the heart and soul of a teenage child who wrote to find peace of mind. Then there are poems about creatures of the imagination: vampires, werewolves, and dragons. Oh, my! Lastly, there are songs, lyrics that flood the mind with joy and sorrow, that lift one up or drag one down, that sing to your soul as they fill the air. Here is a collection of poetry that fills the days with stars.

Myths Untold: faery
Faeries are part of mythology the world over, past, present, and future. Called elves, brownies, the fae, and more, they evoke a sense of wonder and a little danger. Faery has its own rules, and humans enter at their peril. In this spirit, we bring you the first book in the Myths Untold anthology series—four stories from the land of the Fae: a homeless man in Cardiff and the luck that could destroy him; the trans man in future San Francisco who falls for an elf; the village boy who has always been a little different; and a faery prince whose birthright was stolen from him. Welcome to Faery.
